The course has changed compared to the state in 2005 and we can say that it is better now. With respect to the fact that its part is situated in the chateau park there are not many sand bunkers. But its atmosphere with the scene of chateau is nice.

There is a little clubhouse at the chateau area entrance where you start with first hit. There will be many spectators visiting this popular historical landmark watching you in the tree-lined avenue.

The third and fourth holes are in the main meadow in front of the chateau where you play around a grove with a bust of chateau prince Harrach. They are two longest holes of the course and they look easy but only to this point unless you do not hit a branch of the trees which line the whole plateau. Other holes Nr. 5, 6 and 7 have been moved to a cherry orchard. The remaining two holes - the eight and ninth - are played as the original holes one and two.

A part of this course is a separate driving range next to the car park. The course is flat without any difficult slopes and particularly greens are smaller. But this course is charming and thanks to its surroundings it is very similar to some Scottish or English courses.

The Hradec Králové GC, whose home course this is, and its members can create a calm atmosphere during tournaments and thanks to a new standard the course advantages golfers. What about the spectators? They sometimes create funny situations when they pick up your ball and calling "Hey, there is your ball" they tell you where they found it.
