If you want to know how to play links, go and visit the local course. Why go to Scotland? The only thing missing here is the sea, but otherwise? People would not believe what can be created in a former tank field of the Soviet army. Fortunately there are photographs of creation beginning in the clubhouse. Nowadays there is a nine-hole course and other nine holes are being created as well as a training course where you can practice properly short and accurate play using other nine holes. It is not classical chip and putt, the holes are a bit longer, but you can play well here, too.

From the clubhouse, where you cannot recognize military training zone nowadays, you play towards the town beyond and if you can always hit ball to fairway you will not have many problems, perhaps only the necessary length of hits. But be careful of rough placed in the areas between the paths. There is not always tough and high grass everywhere but it is very difficult to hit the ball from it anyway. The only hope can be that there will be no wind blowing when you play. No matter from which side. It is just links. And it is a great one.

Three subsequent water holes on Nr. 6 are very interesting and quite demanding and inaccurate play is bitterly punished there. There are no obstacles restraining view because there have been planted trees but they are not high-grown yet.

The course is basically flat, there is no need to climb hills and lose energy before hitting due to it. Some golfers do not like this course very much but the truth is that this course is very well-maintained and reflects what kind of golfer you really are. It is simply a challenge. Besides the training nine there are a driving range as well as putting and chipping green.

This is a domicile of the Resort Paradise Benátky nad Jizerou GC and it might not look like that at first sight but it is a real golf paradise.
